一、Who Qualifies for a Temporary License？ 临时驾照使用人群
Foreign nationals with non-Chinese residency status are exempt from medical exams and written tests! Simply obtain a certified driver's license translation and prepare required documents to receive your Chinese temporary license. The temporary license remains valid for up to one year.

三、Can I Rent a Car with a Temporary License? 临时驾照能不能租车？
Some rental companies currently only offer ID-based rentals, making passport-only rentals unavailable for foreign nationals. Some cities permit driving friends' or family members' vehicles, while others only allow rental cars. Policies vary by city (online/offline), so advance consultation is recommended.
部分租车公司目前只提供通过身份证租车的服务，外国朋友持护照没法直接租车。但每个城市的租车公司（线上或线下）情况可能有所不同，部分城市允许开朋友/家人的车，建议提前咨询。
